Recycling
We encourage every household to become involved in helping find ways to reduce our garbage. Everything you recycle counts! As you develop a routine in your daily life, you’ll discover that it is easy to reduce your garbage volume, and thus the dollars spent on garbage hauling, by 50% or more.
Single Sort Recycling is now available in the City of Perham. Totes must be 3 feet away from any object and at curbside the same time as garbage. Please contact the City of Perham at 218-346-4455 or Steve's Sanitation at 218-346-4834 if you have any questions. Pick-up dates will also be listed on the City Calendar. Recycling is billed on your City utility bill.
If you do not have a black and yellow City of Perham recycling tote at your residence, please call the City of Perham at (218) 346-4455.
Recycling totes are picked up every other Thursday (south side) or Friday (north side). Please see the calendar on the home page of this website for reference.
Yard Waste Pickup: Wednesdays, April 1-October 31, containers must be 32 gallons or less, bags can be used, however, we ask that you leave them untied and have a place for the emptied bag to be secured. (A bucket with a lid, large rock, or something to prevent the bags from blowing throughout the neighborhood.)
Branches, Brush: Last Wednesday of month, April 1-Oct. 31. Branches must by in lengths no more than 4 feet long and 4 inch diameter, please keep separate from other yard waste. Please do not place brush/branches in bags.
